Mrs. Anna Hookway
English 10, Freshman Success, and Freshman Class Advisor
Meet Your Teacher!
My name is Mrs. Hookway and I am thrilled to be officially joining the Claymont Mustang family! Before accepting this position, I spent the latter half of the 2018-19 school year here at Claymont as a long-term sub and held a similar position at another school in the area.
I am originally from Clinton, Ohio and graduated from Malone University with a B.A. in Creative Writing in 2015. I later chose to pursue certification to teach English Language Arts grades 7-12 as well as pursue completing my Master's in Education. I love teaching at the High School level because my students are so ready to explore the world both in school and outside of the classroom. My goal is to guide them to find their passion while fostering a love of reading and positive communication skills.
I'm excited for a fresh start to the school year and to get to know all of you!

- It depends on the day because I love trying new things. However, you can't go too wrong with Pizza or Sushi!
- I enjoy walking/jogging outside, video games, reading, writing, crafting, and cooking.
- I love tabletop and board games, any excuse to get people laughing and collaborating is a great reason to get together in my book!
- Easter and Halloween
- Probably The Lord of the Rings Trilogy or something like 13 going on 30.
- TV Show
