In May of 2020, the Claymont Community supported a levy which allowed the district to borrow funds for the purpose of renovating the stadium. The current stadium was built in 1937 and is ready to be replaced.
The district has budgeted $4.8 million for the renovation. While a significant amount, this still does not cover the total cost of the updates needed. The project is scheduled to be complete by August of 2021.
How can you help?
An additional $2 million is needed to finish the project, which includes a new turf field, an 8 lane all weather track and updated tennis courts.
